a basic but completely unspoilt property in an idyllic spot. ideal for thoroughly relaxing, no traffic noise, just the sound of the sea and birds. Probably unsuitable for the elderly or anyone with small children because of steep steps and closeness to water. The jetty to the cove is very steep but beautiful. an ideal place to paint and while away the day.

Had a alovely time at The Boathouse.The weather has been great and the places we have visited have been wonderful,especially the little coves.There are many wonderful places to visit and lots of walks.Found this part of the world very interesting,our visit first.The property is quaint,wonderful position,never been so close to the sea before.Made very welcome by owners. - Via in-property guestbook

Our 10th year at The Boathouse.This wonderful place feels like part of our life now.Weather mixed,but had some beautiful hot sunny days.Got up to watch the sunrise over the sea this morning,spectacular.Lots of lovely walks from here to enjoy.Great drives aroung the Helford river area.Hope to be backnext year if all goes well. - Via in-property guestbook

A fun and interesting building in a truly stunning location. We were surprised and disappointed to learn on arrival that the building is split into two with two thirds of the ground floor converted into a working office. The office was in use by the son of the property owner all seven days of our stay, sometimes until eight at night. As with all such property conversions, the thin wall and floor meant that voices and ringing phones could be heard. Lie-ins and romantic meals are just not the same when you can hear a stranger"s conversation and you suspect that they can hear yours! We feel that the property description is misleading in that it does not hint that the holiday property is adjacent to the owner"s private accommodation. And that it is, in effect, a first floor apartment with ground floor kitchen and bathroom.
