Our most relaxing holiday ever, after 20 years the first without our girls. The house was everything you need and was beautifully warm. Plenty of walks for us and the dog. Had fantastic meals at the Old Inn, Mullion, Cafe @ Lizard Point and Helzephron. The Mounts Bay, Mullion - a nice bright interior and quick service with good food. Flowers beautiful in the house and the Lime Drizzle cake - yummy (as were the bonios for Cassie). Chris, Carol Ann & Cassie the mutt. We have just enjoyed a lovely two weeks in this lovely cottage. It is so comfortable, cosy and clean - we have had a good rest. Many thanks to Carole for her kindness and the yummy cakes!! The flowers were beautiful and the tea and milk were most welcoming after a long journey. Great week, as usual the cottage is perfect for us! Thankyou Carole, we love coming here! Had lovely meal at the Old Inn Mullion - dogs welcome, very helpful. Gwythian - good walks and beach for dogs (steep stairs though down from the dunes) Kennack good, Godrevy - the seals were fantastic to see. Anne went off on catarmaran from Penzance (Marine Discovery tour) 3 hours for £35 - great value. Godolphin House was rather tatty and looked very unloved - disappointing. Thankyou for the chocolates and the flowers and especially the very delicious cake. We managed to get to the beach 4 times and even ventured to Church Cove which is a little gem. We did Flambards which the children loved and meeting Peppa Pig was extra special for Abigail. We would love to come back again for a third visit next year. This house has a very good feel to it. It's wonderfully spacious and the layout worked well for us - and for the dog. So good to have a large enclosed space for Nellie to run around and explore. It's a great location too - we seemed to get to everywhere we needed to reach very quickly. We've had a lovely time (weather much better than expected) and wish we were staying another week. WOW! What a lovely cottage. Anneth Lowen is well equiped, yet has a warm and cozy feeling. It was by far the best cottage that we have stayed in. The beds were comfy!!, the kitchen had everything you could need, the location on the Lizard, perfect. We had a superb holiday, a great place to explore the west of Cornwall. The only down side...we could only stay for a week! so we had to return to our everyday lives, and look forward to returning next year!! One of Cornwalls treasures, that we almost dont want to tell antone about!!

We have spent many years in Cornwall for holidays and the last five have been on the Lizard. Everything that has been written about Anneth Lowen is not exaggerated. Definitely the best accomodation that we have stayed at. Very peaceful and enclosed, well-equipped and was perfect for our Airdale, Roly. Hopefully will return at some point in time. Thanks for a great holiday.

27/09/2010 - ANNETH LOWEN CURY

A lovely, comfortable cottage. This is our first visit to the Lizard and we"ve found plenty of things to do. The South West coastal path provides lots of options for walks (we were lucky to have two weeks of dry sunny weather). Helston, Porthleven, Helford River, Cadgwith and Lizard Village are all worth a visit. Lands End is worth a look, if a bit over commercialized. All in all a great holiday, many thanks. We have been coming to Cornwall for the last 7 years. We feel very at home here and what makes it always feel like home are the cottages we stay in and this is no exception. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved the chocolates, biscuits, flowers and the milk in the fridge - you always need a cuppa after the journey! The dishwasher was fab! Lovely to meet you on our arrival, you made us and the children so welcome. The barn is huge! So much space, this is the biggest we have stayed in on our eighth visit to the Lizard. Great location - everything is 10 minutes away. The boys loved the chocolate and the cakes which were scrumptious. We have been to Sue"s cream teas opposite the Cider Barn, definately the best around, the children loved watching the cows come in for milking. Smugglers fish and chip shop in the Lizard is well worth a visit, best fish and chips around. Hope to be back again next year. Would love to come back here to Anneth Lowen. A very enjoyable stay in your comfortable and well equipped cottage. The website description did not do justice to the spaciousness of the reality! We loved the extra touches such as the flowers, biscuits, milk etc - thankyou for these. We particularly loved the wildlife in the area - rabbits and green woodpeckers on the lawns, weasel, stoat and fox in the lanes, fifty or so species of birds (without going bird watching!) and beautiful wild flowers everywhere. This seems a perfect spot for a holiday at any time of the year and we would love to return. Thanks for a very pleasant and enjoyable holiday. Our first visit to the Lizard, what a wonderful holiday. The accomodation was spectacular, everything to feel home from home, the most well equipped ever. The rabbits bobbing around made us smile everyday and the location was central to everything. Trips to Falmouth, Mevagissey, Newquay and Perranporth didn"t disappoint and of course St Ives and Penzance are still as lovely. Take a short ride to Porthleven and sample the steak at the "Harbour Inn" and travel out to the Lizard and eat at the "Witchball", a very busy pub but food worth the wait. Couldn"t have asked for better weather. Sunshine everyday which made the scenery around here breathtaking. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday and letting us share your wonderful accomodation. 21/06/2010 - ANNETH LOWEN CURY

Our 2nd visit to the barn in successive years and we enjoyed it even more this time. It definately helped having a little bit of local knowledge which we"d like to share with you! It"s a great base with great space for kids! Kennack Sands is definately our fave beach. It"s more sheltered than the beaches on the west side of the peninsula. The coastal path walk from Poldhu Cove to Mullion Cove was great - about three and a half miles there and back, with a nice cream tea at Mullion. Got to cross Polurrian beach which was nice as it seemed to be inaccessible by normal means. On the down side were the prices - £11 for a cheeseburger at the Old Inn at Mullion seemed steep as did the £9.75 we were charged for a Tuna Mayo baguette at the Shipwrights Arms on the Helford estuary. Don"t let this put you off a trip to Helford as it"s lovely and we found out that the cafe at the car park does the job - it"s a lovely setting as well! Penzance town was nice as was Falmouth (Pendennis). We"re confidant we"ll be back again next May. Have a great break! Good cottage, quiet location with easy access to everything the Lizard has to offer. The area has fantastic coastline to wander along with the dogs - ours loved to scramble and the beaches where they were allowed (most being out of bounds in daytime - 7pm which in turn is the only negative to Cornwall in general.) Top House (Lizard) and Ship (Porthleven) do good food and welcome dogs. Kitchen has all the useful bits including tupperware and lots of pans to make self catering just like home - almost. We did a mackeral fish from Porthleven Angling Centre and between the six fishing, caught 35 mackeral. The Lizard Cider Barn just down the main road does sanpler sessions, do try their Mead it is very moreish. Sue"s tearoom or rather garden down a long farm track opposite the Cider Barn does a fantastic cream tea. In summary, thankyou for the welcome presents around the house, space to relax and enjoy and the last morning feeling of "i want to stay longer." We"ve had a wonderful half term week. Thankyou so much for the delicious chocolate cakes, fresh flowers and cornish chocolates on our pillows, such a thoughtful touch. Cottage... just so relaxing... although at first there was concern the reception for mobile phones was poor... what a fantastically relaxing time we had with no phone or internet. We would thoroughly recommend this beautiful place which is so well positioned for all areas around the Lizard. We all enjoyed the cottage for its comfort, cosiness and particularly the warmth with which we were received. The chocolate and the cake were fantastic although sadly i was excluded from the latter in the main by the children. Although the weather was not the best it was entirely what we were prepared for so we discovered many nooks and crannies which might have remained undiscovered otherwise. Most notable was the Minack Theatre, an incredible creation from one ladys idea. Dan"s fishing trip was a big success with the children and the Cider Farm a big success with the adults. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to return. Bernard, Vanessa, Belinda, Alex and Simone. BERKSHIRE- 29/8/09. - Via in-property guestbook

Thanks for the flowers and the cake - and a special thanks from Owen for the chocolate on his bedside table! We enjoyed every day - weather amazing too. Special mentions to the Seal Sanctuary, Housel Bay (steep path, but beautiful beach) and Sennan Cove. We will definately try and come back here. Thanks so much Carole. We are regular visitors to Cornwall and more recently the Lizard. This is the nicest cottage we have stayed in in all that time - 15 years! Shame about the weather though! Would love to come back. R and D and Ollie. BERKSHIRE 25/4/09 - Via in-property guestbook

Cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. The welcome pack of cakes and doggy biscuits is a nice touch. The place was warm and inviting and these little touches make the cottage that little bit special. Rollo [smooth haired dachshund] enjoyed exploring the garden. He wants to come back soon! The attention to detail within the cottage ie. cleanliness and comfort are the two important factors that would ensure i would book this cottage again. Thankyou for a wonderful stay. The barn was really well kitted out as a home away from home. Thanks in particular for the freshly made cakes and the ready laid fire.
