We've had the best week down here in Gweek. What a lovely cottage. Whilst I was reading in the 'snug' upstairs, a car stopped to take a picture! Cream tea was lovely and a nice treat. Love the cottage and decor. A real pleasure to stay here. So quiet and relaxing. The wet weather did not dampen our spirits. There is so much to see in this beautiful part of the county. Coverack is well worth a visit - a charming busy harbour. On the other end of the scale you have bustly Falmouth with as many quirky shops. We too enjoyed the fish and chips on a Wednesday and enjoyed a meal at the Gweek Inn. Thanks for the cream tea on arrival - much appreciated after a long journey. Dear Elizabeth, this was the best imaginable honeymoon for us! We felt so welcome and homely. Everything was perfect! The cosiness of Gingerbread Cottage and the thoughtfulness that went into the interior design definitely set a high standard for our own future home. We especially enjoyed the little 'sitting cove' upstairs, which let us forget the whole wedding stress of the last weeks. It's perfect for relaxing and reading directly by the open window. Though everything is so tiny here, it felt like living in a .......to us, even a secret part of the garden exists. We were thankful for every dark cloud or raindrop, because that meant we wouldn't have to leave for an excursion and could stay and snuggle up. Thank you so incredibly much for the introduction to cream tea and for providing such a lovely atmosphere. I dried some of the flowers and will put it in our wedding album. I had the greatest joy looking at them! We will take the wonderful cake home with us and will enjoy it as soon as we arrive to convince (sic) us that we are back in our 'real' life. We've had a lovely week exploring the Lizard Peninsula and some of the places close by. My particular favourite was Kynance Cove, somewhere I like to re-visit from time to time. The cottage is lovely and you seem to have thought of everything. The cream tea was a nice touch - thank you. The staff regulars at the Gweek Inn were welcoming and friendly. We also liked the Trengilly Wartha Inn (Constantine) - food and welcome to be recommended. To anyone who reads this please try them, his van is just down in the village on a Wednesday between 4.30 - 7.30pm. What a lovely cottage and area in which to spend my birthday! It was nice to meet you and thanks again for the 'welcome cream tea'. plus dog biscuits for Oliver. We were last in this area three years ago - again over Easter and my birthday and we had glorious sunny weather then as we've had this week. Will go home 'glowing and tanned' from all the fresh air and sun! Between this holiday and the last one we've now walked most of the coastal path between Falmouth and Porthleven, averaging about 10 miles a day. Favourite places, Porthleven, lovely harbourside village and Kynance Cove, what a beautiful beach when the tide is out! If you like birds sit on the top patio/decking morning and evening. We have seen lots of different birds including a tawny owl up the lane behind the cottage. It's been a fantastic week and Oliver has worn his paws out! lovely cottage in an ideal situation for exploring the south of cornwall.we got lost going but the owner was very nice and gave us excellent directions. not the fault of owner or mullion cottages, should have gone by there directions and not googles.the cottage is very cosy and comfortable, thanks for the cream tea on arrivel it was fab. seal sanctuary only 10mins walk from cottage. the weather for january was cracking, able to sit outside on the beaches and at the lizard and lands end, thank you again for a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
We've had a cracking time, for this time of year the weather has been good to us. Even able to sit on the beaches. Cottage is lovely, we have stayed in a few in Cornwall, but this is the best. We've had a cracking time.For this time of year the weather has been good to us.Evenable to sit on the beaches.Cottage is lovely,we have stayed in a few in Cornwall,but this is the best.Seal Sanctuary 15 mins walk from the cottage.A must and the Gweek Inn,great food.A good place to visit all of the South of Cornwall.Thank you for a fab stay.

We've had a fantastic stay in this great cottage that has been decorated to a high standard. Have visited Cornwall many many times over the past 25 years and always driven passed this cottage, it was nice to have the chance to finally stay here, we would love to come back. Great location for visiting all the large towns and smaller villages. The window seat is great, was nice and relaxing to go and spend the occasional hour sitting and reading. Overall the weather has not been too bad considering the time of year. The extra touches such as soap, washing up liquid, dishcloths, towels, loo rolls! tend to be the items left behind when going away, this made our stay more comfortable, thanks so much. - Via in-property guestbook
An excellent property decorated to a high standard with lots of extras to make the stay more comfortable. A shame not all of the property is photographed, I would definately recommend and would come back again.

Very cosy and lovely area to visit. The Gweek Inn is very welcoming and good food. Special places to visit are St Ives, Minack Theatre (open air), St Mawes and the church at St Just in Roseland. - Via in-property guestbook

Cottage was lovely, very comfortable and enjoyed the cream tea. During our week did a walk around Helford, visited Godolphin House. Both worth a visit also went to Poldark Mine, tour is good but not much else there. Heligan very good. Visited Gweek Seal Sanctuary, this is good but expensive, however there is a half price voucher in the Helpful Holiday brochure. The ferry trips to Falmouth and St Mawes make a nice day out. Also visited The Lizard and Kynance Cove. For meals the Gweek Inn is good and the Roseland Inn is well worth a visit (see details in paper you really need to book). This is well worth a visit on the way back from Heligan. Also do not miss Ann's Pasty Shop at The Lizard. - Via in-property guestbook
