My partner & I stayed for a week with our 4 children. The cottage was immaculate with amazing views from the lounge which is on the second level. Our children loved being based on a working farm where they could feed the lambs, collect the eggs and pet the dogs which live there. We loved the location of Owl Hayes; it's peaceful, quiet and rural which is right up our street. All the visitor destinations are within easy reach by car. Angela provided us with everything we could have wanted, from information and tips to homemade scones which were delicious!! A hidden gem.
We have just come back from an excellent stay at Owl Hayes. Myself, wife and three children had our most comfortable holiday ever. The cottage is beautiful, clean, has excellent facilities and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We had bad weather most of the week so it was great to have a lovely 'home' to go back to with bags of room, character EVERYTHING we needed. The weather didn't ruin the holiday as Owl Hayes is a great base to explore lots of attractions. I cannot find a single fault with Owl Hayes and we WILL be back again - hopefully the sun will shine every day on our next visit!
We would highly recommend staying at Owl Hayes, it was cosy (very important in February), well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the lovely views from the unique open-plan upstairs living area. The location is beautiful and very convenient for reaching so many attractions. The owners were really welcoming and helpful and the cornish cream tea on our arrival was scrumptious!
