Round Island - Lizard Lighthouse

Following the end of our stay in Round Island, I am writing to thank you (and Trinity House) for having made this accommodation available to the RSPB at a discounted rate. the RSPB would not otherwise have been able to afford such accommodation. The location was perfect as it minimised travelling time for RSPB residential volunteers and staff when running the public wathpoint at Southerly Point and monitoring this and other chough nests. The high quality of the accommodation made our stay enjoyable and was certainly greatly appreciated during the early part of the season when we carried out night shifts as part of the round-the-clock watches on nests in sometimes very cold and wet conditions. We found Lisa very helpful, efficient and responsive to our sometimes unusual requests!

Fantastic cottage,lovely location,perfect for us.Foghorn went off a few times,not very loud if you have your ear plugs in!! Nice coastal walks.Kynanace Cove very beautiful.Cottage clean and cosy,beds comfortable too.Fantastic experience.Thanks. - Via in-property guestbook

We returned for our second visit and found it just as breath taking as the first time.Clean accomodation.Well appointed for the tourist attractions.Foghorn only sounded 2 days.Hope to return again soon. - Via in-property guestbook

This property was fantastic, Clean, tidy with everything anyone could need along with spetacluar views (and Seagull!). Will be going back next year. Highly recommended even though we had the fog horn going off most nights!!

We had a wonderful week in this cottage last May half-term! Plenty of room for our two families (4 adults & 4 children). A very warm & comfortable house, and everything provided that we needed. The youngest child had prayed for fog as he wanted the foghorn to go off, which it did most nights! We shall certainly be back to Lizard Point.
