We have had a lovely week in this excellent house - really comfortable and a brilliant location. Weather has been so good - warm and sunny except for one day, a real bonus for March! Lots of lovely walks along some fantastic beaches (Padstow, Perrenporth, Watergate, Crantock and Newquay). Reggie the dog loved the beaches and is exhausted now! We have had a perfect week here - really lucky with the weather, no rain at all and some beautiful misty morninings. The cottage had everything we needed and was a perfect base for exploring, both for walks and days out. We had a great week, the house was well equiped and we appreciated the wine and biscuits. We went for some great walks and had a celebratory meal at 15 which was great. We even got to sunbathe one day on the balcony. The Mermaid opposite had some nice meals and we cycled from Padstow to Wadebridge to work off the cream tea. - Via in-property guestbook
Two grandsons over from Australia for their summer! holiday. Thank goodness the house was such a delight - squeaky clean - luxuriously comfortable and the best equiped holiday cottage in my many years experience. We enjoyed a fantastic holiday - the beautiful house, stunning location and absolutely unbelievably good weather combined to give us our best holiday in Cornwall - and we have visited about 20 times!! Our Border Collie, Timo, loved the walk to Watergate Bay - along the beach and back on the coastal path. Other lovely walks were Crantock to Porth Joke to Holywell and in both directions on the coastal path around Harlyn Bay. Many thanks for the welcoming gifts. We have had a great stay in your lovely house which overlooks the beach that I had happy memories of as a child. We have enjoyed our early morning walks along the cliff and our trips to the Eden Project and Newquay Zoo. Arrived to a warm welcome of wine, milk and biscuits, thank you. House is fantastic just entered into a 70s time warp, very retro,just like going back in time. Original features are great, love the glass doors, never seen doors like these. We like the doors so much took some photos to go to reclaims yard. Very spacious, garage is huge. We think the old picture in the cloak cupboard downstairs should be blown up as this is how the house was, very interesting. View is fantastic and very calming. 16 July 2011. Great house and location. Met all our expections and some. Barney, our dog, loved the veranda which he claimed as his for the entire weeks stay. Already booked 2 weeks for next summer. May get in another visit in before then as we like it so much.
Great place! The house is amazing - great original features which we all appreciated. Cornwall was the perfect place for us all to get married (double wedding). I would highly recommend "Paul Ainsworth" at number 6 in Padstow - fantastic restaurant. The view was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the balcony soaking up the sun. We have had a lovely stay in the house and a great holiday even though the weather wasn't particularly kind to us at the begining of the week! Had a fabulous week in a fabulous location. The views from the cliffs are breathtaking. The weather has been kind to us too, only a couple of showers. Loved Padstow with all the quaint little shops. We have had a fabulous time here! We loved the house and the period features! (which induced a 70s flashback for me!) The children loved it here and we had great fun on the beach.
