Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, up above Porthallow Cove on the Lizard Peninsula. The property and gardens look out to sea across rural views, over Falmouth Bay to Pendennis Castle. Nanteague is only a ten-minute walk to the pebble beach of Porthallow Cove which marks the half-way point of the South West Coast Path, and the renowned Five Pilchards Inn.
Nanteague is a chalet style cottage refurbished in 2009/10. Adjacent parking with path to front door with step-up gives access into the open-plan living and dining area which is floor-tiled throughout. The separate kitchen is very well-equipped: fridge with freezer compartment, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven with 4-ring hob and extractor over.
The lounge has a comfortable two-seater sofa, Lloyd Loom style chair, 32" Hi-Def LCD TV with Sky+ HD (including Sky Sports and Sky Movies), DVD player, cordless telephone with free anytime calls to UK landlines, free Wi-Fi broadband, and a wall-mounted flame effect electric fire.
The fully tiled bathroom has matching corner bath, large double shower cubicle with powerful mixer shower, toilet, handbasin with shaver point and heated mirror over, and heated towel radiator.
The upstairs bedroom (having very limited head room because of the slope on the eaves) has a 6' super king-size bed with choice of summer or winter weight duvet, bedside tables and lamps, built-in wardrobe and shelving and LCD TV with Freeview, iPod dock and cordless telephone. The Velux cabrio roof balcony system opens out giving you the feeling of being on a balcony yet still in the room! The views from this window are truly superb!
Private lawn area with table and chairs with beautiful views down the valley and out across the bay, and use of half acre of meadow gardens including bench seats and large pond. The cottage is conveniently placed for two public footpaths that pass close by.
This property has a light airy feel to it and the views are magnificent. Although there is limited headroom in the bedroom, this does not detract from the overall five Starfish rating. Rental includes bedlinen, towels, electricity, and underfloor central heating for out-of-season lets.
