Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, up above Porthallow Cove on the Lizard Peninsula. As the name suggests, Pond Cottage overlooks a large pond, also with sea views from the garden down the valley out over Falmouth Bay to Pendennis Castle. Pond Cottage is only a 10 minute walk from the pebble beach at Porthallow which marks the half-way point of the South West Coast Path, and the renowned Five Pilchards Inn.
Pond Cottage is a luxury barn conversion. Adjacent parking gives level access through the kitchen door into the open-plan living area which is floor-tiled throughout. The kitchen is very well-equipped: fridge with freezer compartment, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven with 4-ring hob and extractor over. Dining space is available at the lowered breakfast bar with chairs provided.
The lounge has a comfortable two-seater sofa and occasional chair, Hi-Def LCD TV with Sky+ HD (including Sky Sports and Sky Movies), DVD player, cordless telephone with free anytime calls to UK landlines, free Wi-Fi broadband, iPod dock and wall-mounted flame effect electric fire.
The fully tiled bathroom has matching low-sided bath with mixer shower over, toilet and handbasin with shaver point and heated mirror over. There is also a heated towel radiator and extractor fan.
The spacious double bedroom has a 5' king-size bed with choice of summer or winter weight duvet, bedside tables and lamps, double wardrobe (half shelved), cordless telephone, and LCD Freeview TV.
A stable door off the lounge area gives access out to the gravelled back patio and lawn area from which lovely views down the valley and out across the bay can be had. Use of half-acre meadow gardens, including bench seats and large pond. The cottage is conveniently placed for two public footpaths that pass close by.
The high ceilings and plentiful windows throughout give this cottage a light and airy feel. Rental includes bedlinen, electricity, towels and full underfloor central heating for out of season lets.

On site is the owners’ house and two other one-bedroom holiday lets (Stable Cottage and Nanteague).
