Many thanks for granting us landing permission for a week. Wonderful stay – fabulous wildlife with owls on walk to Porthallow Cove in the evening. Wave Café and walks to Coverack great and Helford Crossing and Frenchman’s Creek great. Helford pub (Shipwrights Arms) closed at present so Ferry Boat Inn on the ferry best or cross on ferry and coastal walk through Mawnan Smith. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday ( our 4th time here). We think of this place as our bit of luxury and indulgence – lovely. - Via in-property guestbook

What immense luck we had – among so many cottages in Cornwall we’ve found just this one! We enjoyed everything: home made scones, the friendly and interesting instructions in the house, technology and tips for the surroundings. The cottage with its affectionate details, the delicious Roskilly fudge, the wonderful garden with the unique view at the cove, the kind duck Daphne and her friends …. We felt like in the paradise and will often still think back at this peaceful place. Our many thanks for your affectionate attention. - Via in-property guestbook

Again we have enjoyed our week here. After staying in Stable Cottage last year we didn’t think anything could match it. You have proved us wrong. Pond Cottage was a lovely place to come back to at the end of each day. We were spoilt with the scones, I love them! The weather was kind to us again too so we were able to get out every day. Falmouth is definitely worth visiting, as is Roskilly’s dairy farm. The ice cream is lovely. Needless to say, we will be back again next year. Now we just have to decide which property! - Via in-property guestbook

Thank you for this little bit of heaven. Thank you again for a great stay. Some great snorkelling at Kennack Sands area – jellyfish, crabs, sea snails and lost track of the numbers of different fish. White Hart Hotel, St Keverne very good. Plenty of orange and red flowers which tied in nicely for the World Cup final – Holland Orange and Spain = Red. Many thanks again, God bless. - Via in-property guestbook

Pond Cottage is by far the best accomodation we have stayed in since coming to cornwall, the attention to detail is second to none. The pictures dont do the cottage justice, just the place to relax in the wonderful rural setting, overlooking the valley down to the sea, with views across to Falmouth, we have spent most evenings at the cottage just watching the plentiful wildlife, there are a couple of owls nesting in the grounds. The Five Pilchard pub is within walking distance and is recommended for its food and real ales

Have stayed in a number of cottages over the years; Pond Cottage far outweighs them all. This part of Cornwall is new to us, and Pond Cottage is the perfect base. We cannot fault it. The weather during our stay has been beautiful and we have visited some of the National Trust properties and gardens in the areas as well as villages and coves, etc. The passenger ferry from Helford village to Helford Passage we highly recommend as a way of visiting Trebah Gardens. We look forward to returning. - Via in-property guestbook

We have had a marvellous week in this beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt part of Cornwall. Many thanksfor friendliness, welcome and good advice. The cottage is superb. The gems for us were Kynance Cove, the walk on the coastal path north of Porthleven where we saw two pairs of Cornish Choughs. But all the little bays and harbours were all that we had hoped for. - Via in-property guestbook

21/08/2009 - T & C - Dorset

A little piece of heaven. Kynance Cove spectacular – wild asparagus and unusual form of juniper. Our fourth wedding anniversary – barbequed skate from Cadgwith (daily 3-6 pm) and delicious lemon sole. Thank you for a very relaxing stay! - Via in-property guestbook

We were so excited about the nice cottage, the warm welcome with clotted cream and the meal details. Most of all we liked the garden, the view and the calm landscape especially coming from a busy town. But the best of all was your warm hearted friendly way to give a helping hand and advice. We like to come back as soon as possible. - Via in-property guestbook

From the minute we first arrived we were over the moon with Pond Cottage, very comfortable with all “mod cons” and especially the landscape gardens with a fantastic view to Porthallow. We enjoyed several walks which took in a good proportion of the coastal path around The Lizard. One of the most enjoyable being Mullion village – to Polurrian Cove – Mullion Cove – Predannack Head – inland route back to Mullion village. - Via in-property guestbook
