19/5/2012: Cottage just perfect - a real 'home from home'. Porthleven and even the weather pretty good too - a real Cornish gem. Many thanks Vicki for a spotless cottage.
14/4/2012: Our third stay at Haven Cottage - bliss! Managed to get sunburn walking the coast path - not bad for April. Porthleven is so relaxing - the most stressful things I've done this week are decide between Tribute or Doom Bar Ales, The Ship or The Deli! Haven Cottage is truly balm for the soul!
24/3/2012: Last year we said we would be back + so we have! We have so enjoyed the comforts of Haven Cottage including the added bonus of wi-fi! Porthleven was as welcoming as ever and with good weather yet again. Thank you again for the excellent housekeeping.
21/1/2012: We've completed another section of the SW Coast path - what a wonderful base to walk from. The cottage was a real Home from Home in a lovely location. Very welcoming after a days walk. We always say that we never go back to the same place twice but Haven Cottage might just change our minds! A very BIG thank you.
4/1/2012: All of us would like to say the cottage and the week's stay has been lovely. Although the weather hasn't been great - it has certainly been interesting, full force winds - beautiful seas, rain and storms - good book over cosy fires. Sunny days, good walks and touring. All of which has amounted to a really good break. Thank you.
28/11/2011: Absolutely love the cottage, wonderful facilities, SO comfortable, SO well equipped. Explored Porthleven and the coast walk (Gorgeous seas). Loved the Mousehole lights. Spent a lovely relaxing Christmas break. Connected to wi-fi so spoke to the kids on Christmas day. Thank you so much and so pleased we found you!
29/10/11 - 5/11/11: Had a wonderful first visit to Haven Cottage. Watched fantastic crashing waves. Really relaxing week and as said by everyone else, Haven Cottage is absolutely fantastic!
29/10/11: Ian & Dawn - 4th stay in Porthleven, 2nd at Haven Cottage. Place, people and cottage still as warm as ever. Did'nt have the best of weather but riday was a lovely sunny day walking from St Michael's Mount along the beach to Penzance. Great day out at Crealy's also. 15/10/11: If you spend a week in Cornwall experiencing 'iffy' weather, the place to be is Haven Cottage! (Friday was sunny, though.) If, unbelievably, you tire of watching amazing stormy sea views from the windows, the cottage is so cosy and well equipped, this is the place to relax at any time of the year. Thanks for the welcoming gifts and we will return very soon.
8/10/2011: Fabulous holiday in a fabulous cottage - this is our 4th stay!!! Weather was mixed but several days of brilliant sunshine. Lovely to stay in a well equipped cottage which provides everything you need from picnic plates & glasses to Wi-Fi! All the comforts of home but with a sea view! We will definitely return.
1/10/2011: Another great stay at Haven Cottage. We have been blessed with the weather this week - never expected to be sunning ourselves on the beach a few days before October! Thank you again for another wonderful week. We will be back.

17/9/2011: This is our first time in Porthleven. Wow! its wonderful, we have enjoyed every minute, weather has been great and the people we have been able to meet have all been so friendly and helpful to us. We took the ferry to the Scilly Isles but we had a helicopter back as the ferry was too choppy for us, (Helicopter was fantastic). We hired bikes in St Marys and cycled around the island, (lovely - brought back memories of when we were young). This accommodation is truly lovely and we will definitely return. We just think its a shame you have spelt the cottage name wrong for we are sure it should read H(E)AVEN COTTAGE!

11 June 2011: we have loved our visit to Porthleven & Haven Cottage is beautiful - the sea views are amazing! Also the garden where we soaked up the sun most afternoons with a glass or two of wine. A very nice touch to find milk, tea, coffee etc when we arrived and the whole cottage was spotless. We are sure we will be back again in the future. Thank you.
4 June 2011: H(e)aven Cottage is a real gem and we've loved every minute of our stay. No attention to detail is spared and we hope to return to further discovering the delights that Porthleven has to offer. x

14/4 - 23/4/2011: Our first visit to Haven Cottage and have been delighted to find it perfect in every way. It's wonderfully comfortable, terrifically well-equipped and fantastically located with great sea views - especially from the upper terrace where the marvelous weather has allowed us to breakfast every morning. We look forward to returning. Thank you!
16/4/2011: Once again we have had a fantastic holiday, made extra special by this beautiful cottage. This is our 3rd stay and we are pleased to say standards have been maintained. Thanks to everyone involved. We will be back!
2 April: Great cottage in an excellent position. We've stayed in many cottages and believe this is the best so far. Porthleven is unspoilt and welcoming. The Ship Inn was always entertaining - worth the 750 mile round trip! Thank you for the wine, chocolate, milk, tea etc, very thoughtful. We will be back next year.
12 March 2011: We've had a great week here, visited the gardens at Trebah, Trevarno & Glendurgan; walked the coastal paths around Loe Pool, The Lizard and Kynance Cove (which is spectacular), and from the cottage to Praa Sands and back. Enjoyed meals in The Ship and The Harbour Inn. Haven Cottage is a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed the wine, flowers and chocolates; thank you!

14/12/2010: I did'nt believe the UK is blessed with such beautiful countryside, beaches, landscape, great seafood & pleasant people until I stepped foot in Porthleven. A breathtaking location - almost perfect and the cottage provides an idyllic stay to compliment it all. The beauty of this place especially is you don't need to go far to enjoy the many treats within the village. One day my address will be in this village! Till next time!
We recently returned from our Christmas at Haven Cottage which was absolutely Superb. We have always loved coming to Porthleven and the cottage made it extra special. The fine details made our stay more pleasurable and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will return asap.
13-23 Nov 2010: We love Porthleven and visit frequently as it is convenient for visiting family. Haven Cottage is the nicest place we've stayed so far. We'd like to stay forever! The owners have thought of everything and it was spotless too. Wonderful!

The cottage was beautifully set up for us and provided a great resting place after hours of exploring an autumnly beautiful Cornwall, such a great place for our holiday. Will be back!
Linda & Emma Green (mother & daughter) Northants: 16/10/10: We had a truly fabulous time at the cottage. When we first arrived we were overwhelmed by the view from the windows. As we spent more time at the cottage, we really appreciated all the little touches that have made the cottage feel all the more special; like the treasure shell in the wooden box and the mermaid basking in the main bedroom. Waking up in the morning to the sound of rolling waves was heaven. Thank you so much. We will definitely revisit again to get some more treasure! PS. There was a terribly lovely sailor in The Ship (inn) that me and my mother appreciated - lovely hands - one for the ladies!

11 Sept 2010: Chris & John Fuller, N London: Had a lovely week in Porthleven after an unpromising start. Enjoyed all the facilities of this excellent and welcoming cottage. Breakfast in garden most mornings. We loved the area, the coastal footpath, walks to Loe Bar & + around Penrose Estate, from Lizard Point to Kynance Cove + others. Saw a matinee at the Minack on a lovely sunny afternoon. Cottage everything we could possibly need - a fantastic, well maintained "Haven"! We"ve seen kestrals on the coast path, enjoyed hearty food in The Ship & photographed stunning sunsets just a couple of minutes stroll along the coast path to the right of the cottage. We are seasoned Mullion Cottagers (Cornish Cottages) and this is the best cottage we have stayed in. Thank you for all the little touches. We loved being part of the Porthleven community for a week and will struggle to leave but have nearly exhausted our funds on paintings, jewelry (Bijoux Beads are to die for!) and gifts to take home. So will save up again for next year! Thank you to whoever left the Seal Sanctuary vouchers. Much appreciated and we have returned the favour with some vouchers which we will leave. We hope to be back soon, we SO enjoyed our stay. All the best and thanks again.

We are regular visitors to this part of Cornwall - Porthleven is an excellent place to stay and this cottage is the best we've stayed in yet. One day we'll live down here but in the meantime we'll certainly return to relive lovely memories of the past week.

The fishing was great and we can't fault anything (and those of you who ride horses - Newton Equestrian centre is brilliant!! We went riding on the beach in western saddles and we had a cross country lesson! They cater for EVERYONE, from people who have never been on a horse to the more experienced riders! so have a look!) 19 - 26 July, 2008. Stuart, Sally and Luka from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Highlights for us included fishing for mackerel and pollock and barbecuing it on the terrace, walking coastal paths to Loe Bar and Rinsey, cooking fresh local fish every day (bought from the fishmonger in the village or direct from the boats in the harbour). Where else can you get a 1 kilo dover sole and a large brown crab for a tenner? The Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, body boarding at Praa Sands and scoffing untold quantities of local cheese and ice cream. - Via in-property guestbook
