The Lookout is a traditional Cornish cottage in Porthleven and will provide all that you need from a Cornish self-catering holiday by the sea. It is superbly located adjacent to the coastal path as it exits Porthleven, with magnificent views over the outer harbour, along Porthleven beach and out to sea, making it ideal as an autumn/winter retreat. Just a stone’s throw away along the coastal path towards Rinsey and Praa Sands there is a wonderful cliff top walk with great views over Mount’s Bay towards Newlyn and Mousehole. Ideal for an evening stroll at the end of the day or possibly the start of a longer and more vigorous venture. It is also an easy walk past The Ship Inn, a 17th century pub alongside the harbour, to the centre of the village.
The property is reverse level to take advantage of the views, so from the private off-road parking space adjacent to the property you enter the ground floor which has two bedrooms, the bathroom and kitchen. Bedroom one is a good size double room with king-size 5’ bed, bedside tables and lamps and a double wardrobe. Bedroom two is a twin room with 2 x 3’ single beds, central bedside table with lamp and a double wardrobe. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and matching toilet and handbasin. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, electric oven and hob, microwave and washing machine.
From the kitchen, stairs lead upstairs to the large lounge diner with spectacular views over the outer harbour and out to sea over Mount’s Bay. Comfy seating for five people allows you to relax in comfort and take it all in. There is an LCD TV with freeview and DVD player, an ornamental fireplace and a dining table with four chairs.
Rental includes bedlinen and electricity. Regret no pets and no smoking. Heating throughout is by night storage with additional electric heaters if necessary.
