We correspond with our customers in many different ways depending on their preference. The internet has become by far the most effective marketing tool that we have. Our website offers a clean and simple navigation system making it easy for guests to find their way around regardless of their IT skills. We display large, clear photos of your property, a map and a guide to what activities or points of interest are available locally.
Website promotion is our absolute priority, making sure our site is easy to find for the most relevant search terms.

any people still prefer a traditional brochure so in addition to the website, your holiday home will be included in our full colour annual brochure. With 25,000 copies sent to new and exisiting customers, it is a very effective way of reaching people. Our brochures are available to pick up free at many local cafes, tourist attractions and beaches. The brochure is printed annually in late September.
In addition to the above, we also employ a PR travel agency, who helps us gain inches in the editorial columns of newspapers and magazines. We work together with our PR agency to establish and co-ordinate regular campaigns resulting in coverage in the travel section in a range of national press.
Our marketing activity is constantly reviewed to ensure that your property receives the maximum level of bookings.

Housekeeping...
Guests will forgive many things, but after a long car journey arriving into a grubby property for their annual, hard-earned holiday is not one of them! Luckily it is one of the easiest things to get right.
Guests regularly tell us that the cleanliness of your property is the most important factor. It is often the reason that guests return time and again to the same property. It is also the cause of 90% of all compaints. Unless you decide to do it yourself, you will need to employ a housekeeper.
The cost of housekeeping is directly related to the size of your property and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, prices vary and you get what you pay for. A changeover should include thorough cleaning, laundry and a welcome tray.

Property Assessments...
Cornish Cottages run a 'Starfish Rating' for properties on our website and in our brochure. This helps our guests choose the correct property and offers a level playing field on which they can compare all properties.
An experienced assessor will visit your property annually to carry out the inspection, at the end of which a full report and certificate bearing your rating will be issued for display in the property.
You can have complete peace of mind that inspections are being carried out objectively. They will take into account changes and improvements that have been made, or that are planned prior to the start of the season.
The visits are constructive and followed up with a letter summarising the results with helpful suggestions and feedback.
