Coverack is a small Cornish village located on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula. It is centred around a small Cornish harbour and is regarded as one of the most attractive traditional Cornish villages.

This fishing village has a large crescent shaped beach in the sheltered bay, which is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing. Apart from water sports, Coverack has many other activities on offer such as fishing, walking, art galleries, gardens and coastal paths that must be seen. Children will love the beach which is only a stone’s throw away in addition to the many nearby activities to keep all members of the family entertained; Flambards,  National Seal Sanctuary, Penjerrick Gardens, Lamorran House Gardens, Roskillys Farm and the Lizard Lighthouse

Coverack was formerly known for its smuggling activities, a few of the cottages have been found to have secret hiding places under their floors. There has been a community in Coverack since medieval times and pilchard fishing was the main occupation until early last century.

There are many delightful eating places in Coverack serving many local delights from the Lifeboat House Cafe and Bistro specialising in local seafood to freshly baked pasties and apple pies from Elizabeth’s. Alternatively soak up the local atmosphere at the village pub called the The Paris.
