Gunwalloe village is situated on the Lizard Peninsula three miles (5km) south of Helston.
Gunwalloe is a fishing cove with a scattering of fishermens cottages at the eastern tip of Mount's Bay. The village was originally owned by the Penrose family but was eventually sold, mostly to sitting tenants and the National Trust.
The village and church of Gunwalloe is situated amongst the sand dunes and cliffs on the west coast of the Lizard, where local stories of smuggling, looted wrecks and buried treasures can be found.
This village boasts a characterful, five hundred year old pub called the Halzephron Inn. The Halzephron provides an outside seating area which offers views across Mount’s Bay.
