A GRADE 2 LISTED BUILDING WITH SUPERB SEA VIEWS, ADJACENT TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH
Spectacular location for visitors wishing to be on the coastline. As an ex lifeboat house it is the last property before the sea, perched on a rock shelf overlooking the small inlet at Church Cove. Due to the location and internal open steep steps to the sitting room and bedrooms, this property is not suitable for persons with restricted mobility or children unless closely supervised.
Approached via steps down from the parking area to the patio with furniture. Views of the cove and out to sea from this patio are stunning. Stable door to kitchen, which includes electric cooker and fridge/freezer, dining area with beamed ceiling and having the benefit of a window overlooking the cove.
From the kitchen there is a short flight of steep steps to the sitting room with open beam ceiling, low level windows with cove views, comfortably furnished with easy chairs, dining table and chairs, colour TV, digibox, cd/Blueray player and payphone.
Accessed from either end of the sitting room are the bedrooms. Each has four steep steps into the rooms and they both have sloping open beam ceilings. The double bedroom includes a chest of drawers, dressing table, bedside table and lamps and clothes hanging rail. The twin bedroom has 3' single beds, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamps, open clothes hanging rail.
The shower room has a large tiled shower enclosure with electric shower, toilet and handbasin.
Parking for one car on the residents' car park. Rental includes night storage heating and bedlinen. Electricity by £1 coin meter. This property accepts one dog by prior arrangement at £25 per week.
A fun and interesting building in a truly stunning location. We were surprised and disappointed to learn on arrival that the building is split into two with two thirds of the ground floor converted into a working office. The office was in use by the son of the property owner all seven days of our stay, sometimes until eight at night. As with all such property conversions, the thin wall and floor meant that voices and ringing phones could be heard. Lie-ins and romantic meals are just not the same when you can hear a stranger's conversation and you suspect that they can hear yours! We feel that the property description is misleading in that it does not hint that the holiday property is adjacent to the owner's private accommodation. And that it is, in effect, a first floor apartment with ground floor kitchen and bathroom.
