297 - Haven Cottage - Porthleven

'Haven Cottage' is a beautifully renovated, large terraced property set above the harbour at Porthleven, Cornwall Boasting views of the harbour wall and along the famous sandy beach, down towards Loe Bar and beyond. The standard of accommodation is excellent in this comfortable two bedroom, two bathroom property which includes a terraced rear garden with top decking from which to enjoy the stunning views.

Entered (via a small vestibule) into the Lounge and the quality is immediately evident. With comfortable seating for six, coffee table, LCD TV with DVD player and 'Sky FreeSat' and a beautiful inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The separate dining area opposite the kitchen, has table and chairs for four people. Kitchen is also brand new, fully equipped and high quality. Electric cooker and hob with extractor over, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher - still leaving plenty of work surface and storage for food.

Stairs lead up to the first floor landing with doors off to the Bathroom, half tiled with matching white suite and hand-held shower attachment to bath. Twin room, beautifully co-ordinated with two, 3' single beds, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and drawer unit. The Double room has double bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, drawer unit, dressing table, hairdryer and has wonderful sea views. Spacious Shower Room, half tiled with large shower cubicle and power shower, heated towel rail, matching toilet and sink and great sea views from the partially obscure glazed window.

At the rear is a small yard with steps rising to a decked area giving views of the coast over the top of the house. Parking is available immediately outside the property. The harbour and coastal path are both nearby, the path leading down comes out next to the Ship Inn on the harbour wall, very handy!

Rental includes bedlinen, electricity and initial fuel for the woodburner for winter lets (special 'eco briqs' available locally). Background heating is provided by storage radiators. Regret no smoking and no dogs.

We'll come back anytime! Abi + Odelle: Beautiful cottage, love the views! The welcome gifts were lovely. I hope we can come back (Mum? Dad! please??) The fishing was great and we can't fault anything (and those of you who ride horses - Newton Equestrian centre is brilliant!! We went riding on the beach in western saddles and we had a cross country lesson! They cater for EVERYONE, from people who have never been on a horse to the more experienced riders! so have a look!)
