Trelean is a detached cottage set in a quiet country lane in
the village of Perranwell, approximately five miles from each of Falmouth and Truro and seven miles to Portreath, offering an excellent location from which to explore Cornwall. Recently built and constructed partly with locally quarried Delabole slate stone (the word Trelean is Cornish for house or home built of slate). It is an exceptionally comfortable, well-appointed house with full gas central heating, garage and parking for two vehicles.
Covered open front porch to front door, hallway leading to the large living/dining room with real flame gas fire, comfortable seating for six people, large dining table and six chairs, large screen TV with SKY & DVD and WiFi internet access. Ground floor bedroom with twin beds, chest of drawers, bedside table and wardrobe. Kitchen with breakfast bar, extensive range of appliances including gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and toaster etc leading to utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and additional cupboard space. Downstairs toilet/cloakroom, back door and open covered porch.
A hardwood staircase from the entrance hall leads to first floor landing to: Large principal bedroom offering 4'6" double bed, furnished to high standard and en suite toilet/shower room. Second twin bedded room and a family bathroom with separate shower cubicle.
Outside there is a pleasant lawned front garden with gated driveway. A BBQ and outside furniture is situated on the back patio area.
Rental includes bedlinen, electricity, gas, bath and hand towels (please bring your own beach towels), SKY and WiFi. One well behaved dog is accepted at £25 per week. No Smoking.
Perranwell boasts a fine pub with real ales and fine food, and a good local shop/post office. A short walk away is the historic Norway Inn with excellent restaurant. There is a choice of country lane, field walks and signposted byways from the door step, or if you prefer cycling, the Bissoe Cycle Trail which extends from Devoran on the south coast to Portreath on the north coast is nearby and cycles can be hired locally. Perranwell also has a branch line railway station with one small train which shuttles between the city of Truro and port of Falmouth, each a ten minute scenic ride away. You can enjoy a day exploring one of Cornwall's picturesque branch lines, returning to Falmouth by river ferry.
Other local activities include, water sports, beaches, boat hire, fishing, golf, National Trust properties, Cornish Gardens (including Heligan and The Eden Project), children's theme parks, excellent seafood restaurants, Minack Open Air Theatre and the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth.
