'16 on the Waterfront' is a ground floor apartment literally across the road from Falmouth Harbour, Cornwall. Originally a packet captain's house, with fisherman's cottage behind, the property has been transformed into a comfortable home. Offering panoramic views of the Fal estuary from Flushing all the way over to the famous docks and Carrick Roads, there is always something to watch from the comfort of the bay window. The convenience of Falmouth town centre, with its cobbled streets and numerous shops, pubs and coffee houses is just a five minute walk away.
Entered from a shared (with the owners) hallway, through your own lockable door into the lounge, with comfortable seating, TV and DVD with freeview, and two armchairs in the bay window from which to admire the view. Through the dining area with table and chairs, and into the kitchen and breakfast area. A wonderfully light area as this was once a courtyard, now covered with a conservatory style roof. The kitchen has a fridge, electric cooker with 4-ring hob, washing machine and microwave.
Further on into the bedroom and en suite bathroom. The bedroom has a double 4'6'' bed, bedside tables and lamps, double wardrobe and further chest of drawers. The en suite bathroom has bath with electric shower over, matching handbasin and toilet.
Outside at the front is a garden bench and unrestricted on-road parking is usually available outside the property. Rental includes bedlinen, towels, internet access, electricity and heating.
Our holiday in Falmouth was very enjoyable and relaxing. The accommadation was 5 star, everything was perfect. We would not hesitate to return in the future, and we would highly recommend it to our friends and family. John and Sue were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Many thanks again.

I cannot really think of any negative comments regarding our stay at No 16 (apart from the parking scramble which John and Sue are unable to rectify). The flat contains all the mod cons, is bright and spacious and the view from the lounge window across the bay is stunning. Perhaps the latter could be improved if some of the hanging fronds were opped off the palm tree so enhancing the view. We had a peaceful, restful stay and Falmouth itself has a lot to offer. I would recommend the flat to anybody and give it my full approval. T O'Carroll.

Thank you for a warm welcome and the excellent standard of accommodation. Breakfasts and sundowners sat in the bay window looking over the harbour has been a memorable highlight. We have been very comfortable and only suggest the need for more hangers and ice box. We will certainly be looking forward to a return visit. Kind regards. Brian and Eileen Du Bourg

extremely comfortable and clean accommodation with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Attention to small detail, eg hairdryer, tissues, tea/biscuits/cake on arrival much appreciated. Car parking but of a problem. Very good information about local area and what's on. Colin and Angela Pipkin, 12-19 September.

It has all been wonderful, with homely touches on arrival which we were grateful for as we arrived so late. The only down side is the parking, but it would not stop us booking with you again.

Without questiion, this is one of the loveliest holiday apartments we have stayed in. Wonderful location with stunning views, close to the shops, spacious, comfortable, immaculately kept and well-equipped. Can't think of anything negative to say .... oh, the doorknob is loose on the bedside cabinet: Thank you John and Sue. Hope we may be able to come again. Phil and Pat Webb.

We will definitely recommend you to others! We had a more than enjoyable stay, we cannot fault anything at all, it was and is one of the nicest and cleanest places we have stayed at. 10 out of 10 in our opinion! Thank you.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay thank you. The apartment is beautifully clean and well equipped. The only thing we missed was a portable radio - we love to wake up to radio 4! But the light and the views are fantastic. We loved the quiet of the bedroom and the spectacular light of the kitchen area. This was our first visit to Falmouth and we loved it - a great town for a holiday with almost too much choice when it comes to food - even for vegetarians! We feel we've only scratched the surface of the town and would happily return. We particularly enjoyed the boat trip to Malpas and would have done the Helford one too if time allowed. Thanks a lot!

From the 2008 guest book: A wonderful location with great views. We were made to feel very welcome and the facilities are excellent. Little touches such as milk in the fridge, biscuits, cake and flowers were much appreciated. We were very impressed by the apartment and would certainly come again or recommend it to friends.
