Cosy Properties just for two in south-west Cornwall

A great choice of lovely self-catering properties-just for two-located in some of south-west Cornwall's most scenic areas are available with Cornish Cottages.

The Bowjy, for example, is a beautifully converted detached barn (sleeps two) that was originally a cowshed (Bowjy is literally 'cowshed' in Cornish!). Situated near Hayle, it has been carefully converted to retain its character and many orginal features, including exposed stone walls and vaulted ceiling.

Downstairs there's an open plan living/dining room with log burning stove and upstairs a large double bedroom with ensuite shower room. Outside is the large garden with patio. The coastal path is approximately two miles away and the lovely beach at Godrevy is about 3.5 miles away. A week's rental costs between £226 and £495.

Or, Beach View- situated at Porthallow- is a beautifully furnished one bedroom detached apartment with balcony and superb sea views down across the pebbly beach and out across Falmouth Bay to St Anthony lighthouse and the Fal River. It has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner- with a real flame gas fire and wall mounted LCD TV and DVD player- and a patio balcony which is decked and has a table and chairs and a gas BBQ.

This is also the midpoint of the 630 mile coastal footpath, so there are great walking opportunities in either direction taking in amazing cliff top views and hidden sandy coves only accessible on foot. Eateries nearby include the Five Pilchards Inn at Porthallow beach and the organic restaurant 'The Greenhouse' in the village of St Keverne.

A week's rental in February costs £242, rising to £557 in peak season.
